The Red Devils opted to sign the Denmark international from Atalanta for £72m last summer in a bid to strengthen their forward line after struggling with goalscoring problems last season.

The 20-year-old has showcased his talents for Manchester United in the Champions League this season, scoring five goals in four games and is currently the competition’s top scorer. However, he has yet to get his name on the Premier League goal sheet.

Nonetheless, early signs point to the youngster being a hugely talented player who could prove to be a shrewd signing for United in the future.

Now, in response to a fan question, Evans has revealed that Hoylund is the one he admires most among his current teammates. The defender also said that the 20-year-old possesses the necessary qualities to thrive at the highest level and, therefore, will become a top player in the near future.

The Leicester City star further claimed the striker has a strong personality – something that is not often seen with young players.

When asked which teammate he admired most, Ivins said:

“I would probably say [Rasmus] Hoylund. I think for a young lad like that to come in with his attributes and personality and, you know, his work rate. I think the fans Really like him already and he will be a top player.”

After letting Evans leave the club in 2015, Manchester United decided to bring him back to Old Trafford in the last transfer window to strengthen the defense.

Some were surprised when United decided to sign the 35-year-old. However, he had already impressed Erik ten Hag and played a few games before suffering an injury against FC Copenhagen in the Champions League.

Surprisingly, the Northern Ireland star was given the chance to play ahead of highly-rated centre-back Raphael Varane. However, it is now difficult for Irvine to regain his place in Manchester United’s first eleven after recovering from injury.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will face Everton in the Premier League after the international break after beating Luton Town last weekend. Ten Hag’s side are keen to keep their winning streak going in this game to close the gap on fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
